I plan to be engaged in BMS manufacturing, and I would like to know what should be paid attention to in the design of lithium-ion BMS.

I’m thinking about swapping out the lead acid batteries in my travel trailer with two affordable 100AH LiFePO4 batteries. These new batteries come with features like high or low temperature protection and Bluetooth connectivity. On a Facebook group, I was advised to buy a 200AH battery with a 200A BMS(“Make sure not to buy the 100A BMS kind”). I thought it might be better to connect two 100AH batteries in parallel, but I didn’t find any option with a 200A BMS.

I bought some Li-ion batteries, but I don’t know if there is a BMS, if not maybe I’ll have to set up a safety circuit for them.

I’m considering buying a cheap BMS to prevent the lithium-ion battery from over-discharging, but I’m confused about the BMS specs. Basically every BMS I could see listed the overdischarge cutoff voltage as “2.5–3.0 v ± 0.05 v.”. What exactly does this mean? Is it set at 2.5 V or 3V?

I am studying the new energy storage BMS, and I want to know why the new energy storage BMS is more difficult and complex than the vehicle battery BMS?

If I use the same 6S lithium polymer batteries (each with a voltage of 22 V, as this is still considered safe in water) and connect them in parallel, do I need a BMS (battery management system)? Or is the BMS only for series-connected batteries?

Energy storage BMS and power BMS are both BMS. Can you say how they are different from each other in many ways?
